Carolina's "Full House" Multi Breed Female Sale
Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 12:00 Noon
T. Ed Garrison Arena, Celmson, South Carolina

Twenty-one Shorthorn, Gelbvieh and Simmental breeders are consigning 85 females to the inaugural Carolina’s “Full House” Multi-Breed Female Sale to be held at the T. Ed Garrison Arena, Clemson University on Saturday, May 11.  By putting these breeds together, we are able to offer enough numbers to satisfy both consignor and buyer whereas a stand alone auction of these breeds was difficult to conduct given the fixed costs involved with conducting the auction.  You can expect a quality offering in each breed selling.  Especially exciting will be the bred heifer division as each breed is stacked with females that will contribute as superior brood cows for years to come.  The Simmental breed will be selling several females without papers but are of high quality and mostly A.I. sired and/or A.I. bred.  Watch for top Gelbvieh cow/calf pairs as well as cow/calf pairs from the Shorthorn and Simmental consignors.  A special JACKPOT HEIFER division will feature approximately 8 show prospect heifers with each breed represented.  These heifers will be eligible to compete in junior shows throughout the coming show season and will compete at the 2013 SC Junior Beef Roundup with every entry winning a cash award.  You can view the sale catalog by clicking on the catalog cover to the left of this text.  You can order a sale catalog thru this website or by contacting Sale Manager Mike Jones 706-773- 3612.

34th Annual Southwest Virginia
Performance Tested Bull Sale
Wytheville, Virginia
Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Noon
Sale Manager:  Dr. Scott Greiner
Auctioneer:  Col. Mike Jones

The crowd was a little smaller this year and we had a few too many bulls for the folks on the seats.  Over 400 cattlemen in attendance and 139 bulls.  Past years has always packed the house with some 500 people and the 2012 auction was a record setter with a $3,400 average of 140 bulls.  This year the top 110 bulls sold really strong but then the last 30 struggled to get a premium resulting in an over-all average down several hundred dollars from last year.  Same excellent quality in all breeds, just one of those years when a few too many bulls brought the average down.  Strong demand for the 27 bred heifers that averaged $1,580.00.
